  • TOOL: You can successfully invite people from different backgrounds to your Alpha course (as a team).

  • SKILL: Understand what the Gospel is, and the Good News of God will transform your life. 
  • TOOL: You start applying the principles of hosting a conversation during the Alpha small group sessions.

Lesson 3

ICP Advance conference

Welcome! This is your third lesson at basecamp 1, called Alpha. At this basecamp, you get equipment to lead an intercultural Alpha course succesfully. Besides that, we offer the basics of theology and motivate you practicing the most important spiritual disciplines for a church planter.

What’s up?

  • SHAPE: Develop a healthy rhithm of spending time in silence, searching God.
  • SKILL: Practice repentance and believing as an intercultural church planter.
  • TOOL: You can involve your team in organizing the Alpha weekend by delegating roles which suit each one’s gifting.…. and you start practicing prayer ministry with your Alpha group based on the four principles of Alpha. Also: if you have gifted musicians in your group, this is the time to think about worship time.

Great to have you back. This is your fourth lesson at basecamp 1. What an achievement! At this basecamp you get equipment to lead an intercultural Alpha course succesfully. Besides that, we offer the basics of theology and motivate you practicing the most important spiritual disciplines for a church planter.

  • SHAPE: Develop a healthy rhithm of practicing fasting.
  • SKILL: Discover cultural lenses through which you and others interpret the Bible.
  • TOOL: You can recruit leaders (within your own team) based on the 4 C’s.
